Fjord Open 48 Video: First Look

Look at the Fjord 48 Open, and wow. Just, wow. We’re thrilled our UK reviewer Alex Smith came across this yacht at the Dusseldorf boat show, because this one’s a true one-of-a-kind find. Watch the video to see what we mean:

We’re particularly glad Alex had the chance to film this quick video, because pictures tell the story quite well with this model. As you can see, what’s usually found belowdecks is up and in the sunshine on the Fjord. And with 48 feet of LOA there’s a lot of sunshine to enjoy, whether you’re prepping a meal at the galley, or stretching out on the huge sunpad.

Most of us here in the US of A aren’t familiar with the Fjord. This is a Norwegian builder that made its mark in 2008 after taking a European Powerboat of the Year award. (The big winner was also an Open model, the 40). But once you’ve seen one, you won’t forget the name. And yes, there are some Fjords available in the United States.
