LAYOUT
Acadia is a two stateroom, single head Hanse 415. Each staterooms sleeps 2 with additional sleeping accommodations in the Salon for 2 additional people.
VESSEL WALKTHROUGH
When you step into the cockpit from the fold down transom you immediately are greeted with a sparling cockpit. Her cockpit features twin steering wheels that allow easy passage fore and aft, as well as a very large cockpit table with folding leafs. There is a large chart plotter at the aft end that services both wheels. There are two cockpit lockers with ample space to stow various gear and glove box style storage areas before going below.
There is easy access to the side decks which are wide and comfortable to navigate. A Hanse trademark is the high topsides and short deck house. This provides for really nice headroom below, but an easy step up onto the cabin house when tending the mainsail or lounging out in the sun. The anchor windlass is neatly tucked away below decks for a very clean and clutter free foredeck.
The main salon is easily entered through the drop-down hatch board. The “garage” eliminates the need to store any hatch boards within the boat or cockpit lockers. The saloon is very bright and “airy”. There are many opening hatches and ports to allow in light and fresh air. New main cabin skylight sunscreen keeps the sun out and also has built in screens to keep out the bugs. New reading lamps with USB chargers were added recently making your time in the saloon that much more enjoyable.
The interior is finished with rich American Cherry cabinetry with a beautiful Noce Nero cabin sole.
As you go down the steps, the galley is to starboard, and the head is conveniently located immediately to Port. The galley is open to the saloon, to not isolate the chef! Just forward of the Galley, is a comfortable bank of seating and large table for dining. On the forward bulkhead is a large screen TV for entertainment.
To Port are two seats/settee with an integrated table (which lowers to form the full settee) and can be used as a Nav Station. The main salon upholstery is leather in a Portofino cream color.
FORWARD STATEROOM
Forward is the Master cabin with a Queen-sized berth and ample storage lockers. It is also very bright with plenty of ventilation from the tow opening hatches. There is a small desk for applying makeup or using a laptop. Opposite is a comfortable seat allowing you to put on your shoes or just relax before going off to bed. The side ports offer a view of the surroundings.

AFT STATEROOM
The guest cabin has plenty of headroom and is very comfortable. It has a side port to provide views of the surrounding harbors or yachts, as well as bringing in additional light. There is opening hatches and port to bring in more light and fresh air.
Port side aft is a second sleeping cabin, with a large berth and abundant storage.
Double berth - with deluxe mattress
Storage beneath berth and hanging locker
AFT STORAGE COMPARTMENT
A unique feature is the oversized storage garage aft of the galley. This is accessed via a door panel on the aft bulkhead. This large storage space can be accessed from either the cockpit, by lifting the starboard seat, or from inside through the opening door. This is a huge storage space and is very neatly arranged with shelving and bulk storage areas. If desired, this could be converted to sleeping space, but it should be valued more for how it is set up now.
HEAD
The head is very spacious and has a stall shower at the forward end. A clear acrylic door keeps the wetness out of the rest of the head and at the same time allows for a more spacious feel to the shower area and helps keep it bright. The holding tank is drained via gravity when offshore, to keep it simple to empty the tank. There is nice storage and the electric head is only a few years old. Mirrored medicine cabinet.

GALLEY
The galley is extra-large on the two-cabin model. L-shaped quartz black counter. With top and side loading refrigerator, double SS sinks and a Force 10 3 burner stove with oven. Plenty of storage make this a complete cruising galley. There is a second refrigerator aft in the galley which is a drawer style unit. This is very large and easy to access. There is a hull window in the galley for outside views and a large deckhouse port that opens for wonderful ventilation of heat and incoming fresh air.

HULL
While not a racing hull, the design is performance oriented and will satisfy most every sailor with great handling and solid sailing speeds. The modern styling of this vessel offering a long waterline and large interior volume for her length, is a testament to the to the experience of her designers. The fold down transom makes for a great spot to exit onto a dock when tied stern to, or to swim from. The height off the water is “just right” to make access to and from a dinghy effortless. The hull carries the beam well aft which gives great form stability while reaching but also gives tremendous volume to the aft cabin and aft storage area. Not to be overlooked is the rub-rail. This feature is priceless when coming in to dock where the docks or pilings may scratch the hull. This really offers a ton of protection!

Sandwich construction (Balsa) - above the waterline

KEEL
The T keel shifts majority of the weight down low and also some weight forward of the fin. This helps with stability, but also fore and aft trim of the vessel. The keel is deep enough to help the boat track well, but not too deep as to keep you out of shallower harbors.
T-speed keel with low center of gravity
Draft: 6' 11" T speed keel
Stainless steel keel bolts
DECK
As mentioned earlier, the decks are very clutter free and easy to navigate. The non-skid is very easy on bare feet or when laying down in the sun. Hanse builds in a bulwark on the side decks to catch your feet from sliding off the deck. It also keeps stations off the deck to reduce the chance of leaks below deck. You will notice the large number of opening hatches that really do bring in an amazing amount of light and fresh air.

COCKPIT
Another trademark of Hanse are their comfortable cockpits. They are wide and allow easy passage past the cockpit table. The seats are comfortable, as well are the backrests. The twin wheels allow for easy pass through to the swim platform but also position the helmsperson well outboard to see the sails and other boats. The dodger and bimini provide protection from spray, wind and sun. It is also great to stay in the cockpit when raining as they do a very good job of keeping it dry. The solar panels are on an arch above the cockpit, but well out of sight.
