The Picnic Boat EP (Extended Pilothouse) combines traditional aesthetics in her beautiful lines and stunning craftsmanship with modern design and materials. Construction of the hull is Hinckley DualGuard® Composite Construction with Kevlar E-glass hybrid outer skin. Aircraft grade end-grain balsa below the waterline. Carbon-fiber inner skin. SCRIMP® laminated with vinylester resin. Deck and cockpit are E-glass with balsa and closed-cell foam core, SCRIMPED with vinylester resin.

COCKPIT
SOMETIMES features the traditional EP aft cockpit arrangement with a wet bar located atop the engine box which also forms an aft-facing seat. Aft, a transom door compliments a wide settee that has a hinged lid under the cushions and a removable storage tub that provides access bilge areas. A cup holder is just forward of these cushions on the starboard side. A cockpit cover attaches to pilothouse with snaps around cockpit coaming.

THE PILOTHOUSE
The varnished teak pilothouse with natural teak sole is stately, warm, and inviting. Forward are two very comfortable Stidd helm chairs which each have great visibility through the forward and side windows. Aft, the L-shaped settee seats four easily and features a folding varnished teak table with adjustable pedestal. Opening side windows and four overhead hatches ensure excellent ventilation, and air conditioning with reverse cycle heat ensures comfort in heat and cold.

INTERIOR BELOW
Access to the cabin below is through the varnished teak companionway (with removable hatch for more headroom) and down a single step. The galley is to port, private head to starboard and the V-berth forward. The interior features satin-varnished cherry bulkheads, trim, and ceiling boards, and a varnished teak and holly sole. An opening overhead hatch and opening port lights with screens ensure natural light and ventilation, amplified by air conditioning with reverse-cycle heat. Frigast stainless steel bulkhead lights add to the cabin ambience.
GALLEY (Port)
The stove is set in the countertop forward and has a Corian and a custom wood stove cover/cutting board that adds to the already ample counter space surrounding the sink. Microwave is built in outboard. The refrigeration is mounted aft of the sink and is accessed by a counter lift-up top. A “pantry” locker with louvered door and several shelves separates the Galley from the forward V-berth area and houses the stereo system.
