MG Yachts started life as primarily a builder of racing boats, but sold a number of fairly high performance cruiser-racers through 

the 1980s, mostly designed by Tony Castro.

Tony Castro designed the prototype of the wing-keeled, twin-rudder Spring 25 in 1987/88, and the boat was used in the UK TV series "Howards Way". 

The Spring 25 then went into production in the UK, Brazil and Australia, the UK boats being marketed by MG Yachts. About 150 were built in the UK.

"Magicspell" is a fair example and with a bit of tlc, but she is ready to use, will make a great wee fun family boat. Also has heating!

Accommodation

Will sleep 6 in open saloon cabin and aft double cabin.

The saloon has a raised berth platform forward, with a U-shaped settee around the saloon table. 

Aft is a galley to port, and small chart table with seat to starboard. The galley has a moulded-in sink and drainer, icebox, and space for a gimbaled cooker - there is aspace for a two-burner and oven cooker; currently a 2-burner gas set-up.

The aft cabin and heads are closed off with doors either side of the companionway & is a good size for such a small yacht

The interior is simply yet neatly finished, with extensive use of interior GRP mouldings. 

The vertical 'backrest' hinges up, with two supports, to extend the length of the forward berth 

platform by about a foot, and also fractionally increases the length of the lower settee berths.
