Description
Superb cruising sailboat built in Ontario by Whitby Boat Works and designed by Ted Brewer. This one has always sailed on the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River and is registered in Canada. This sailboat is very well maintained and ready for new adventures.
It is comfortable and safe with its versatile ketch rig, allowing you several combinations of sails, which is very practical in bad weather.
She is very well equipped with davits rigid hull dinghy, 15hp outboard motor, life raft, hydraulic autopilot, hydraulic steering wheel, radar, chart plotter, solar panels (400A), two heating systems, full cockpit enclosure, Lazy-jacks and “Perma Pack” for main & mizzen sails, furling headsail.
Several improvements have been made over the last 8 years, namely: hydraulic wheel helm seal changed, new Rocna 25kg anchor, 4 x 6v house batteries and 1 12v starter battery (2024), all the bedroom cushions and all the cushions in the square covered to new, replacement of the septic tank, solar panel and controller, compressor and freezer system changed, fuel lines and connectors have been changed, engine cooling hoses changed as well as oil hoses, starter motor & solenoid re-built (2025), several coats of Interprotect applied, the plastics of the dodger changed, water pump changed, new portable VHF, Dickinson BBQ, winter canvas made to measure.
It is the ideal sailboat for the south with its shallow draft (5') and its air draft (55') in addition to its large water tanks (290 gal) and diesel (approx. 140gal ) for greater autonomy. Its large fridge and freezer can store plenty of food. The hydraulic autopilot with remote control makes it possible to manoeuvre the boat short handed (even single handed).
