Boat Details
Description
The Grand Banks 32 Sedan could be considered one of the best couples cruising boats ever made. Instantly recognizable with her classic lines, you will be a welcome addition to any anchorage. This is also one of the finest Grand Banks 32 Sedans you will see in BC.
The owners have bought another boat and are very motivated to sell their GB 32.
The 32 Sedan is so loved because of its beautiful lines, sea-handling abilities, and just the right amount of space for a couple. The huge, covered aft cockpit provides ample space for visitors, as well as the upper helm station. The interior is perfect for two with a compact galley, dinette, large forward berth and head with shower and 6'4" headroom. There is plenty of storage throughout for your excursions and Number 11 has a custom forward-facing seat across from the helm station to ensure easy communication with the crew.
NUMBER 11 was the 11th hull of 861 GB32s ever built and she is in incredible shape. She came off a two-year re-fit completed in 2024 with most systems being fully upgraded by BC's finest skilled trades. The hull was surveyed by the good folks at Abernethy & Gaudin Boatbuilders Ltd. and found to be sound with multiple fasteners removed and inspected. A&G are one of the premier yards for the care and repair of wooden boats in BC. Anything that needed replacing was replaced. To name a few highlights, the shaft was removed and a new shaft log built. All through hulls were replaced. All AC/DC wiring was removed and replaced with new wiring, electric panels, batteries, charger, etc. The water system was redone with a new hot water tank and lines. The head was reconfigured to have a composting toilet as well as 6'4" headroom for the shower. Gartside Marine gave the single Lehman diesel a full go-over, replacing all hoses, servicing the cooling system, and replacing/servicing injectors as needed.
She has a strong, reliable hull, plenty of upgrades, and is ready for the new owners.
She is located in Nanaimo and has assumable moorage at desirable Townsite Marina with management approval.

Layout & Description
From aft to forward, a full-beam teak swim grid is affixed to the transom. A huge teak aft deck is shaded by a full-width canvas cover. Teak handrails surround the boat. A ladder to port leads to the upper deck and flybridge where a second helm is also covered by a bimini. The side decks are wide enough to easily walk to the foredeck. Both the side decks and foredeck are newly surfaced with Flexiteek for attractiveness and ease of maintenance.
Entering the interior from the aft deck, a galley is to the immediate port with a fold-out table and L-shaped settee to starboard. This can be made down into a double bunk. Forward of the galley is a companion seat, providing the first mate with their own forward facing seat, missing from some GB 32s. Forward of the settee is the main helm.
The helm has a beautiful, traditional wooden wheel with some lovely knotwork. An array of navigation tools is at hand, with new AC and DC electrical panels occupying the side of the helm.
Four steps down, there is a hanging locker with its own door to port, with the head to starboard. The head has a composting toilet, beautiful vanity, and a shower with 6’ 4” headroom. This space was created during the refit to retain the original stylistic marks with more modern spaciousness, headroom, and usability. Forward of the hanging locker and head is a large V-berth with new mattress.
