Welcome to Yachtsource

Yachtsource image My name is Bob Sherman. Whether you are buying or selling, I want you to have a great boating experience! I would like to to earn your business as your Yacht Broker. This is not unlike a job interview, so here is my background:

I started in Yacht Sales in 1987. I was a top producer at several of the better San Diego brokerages for 14 years, learning from the best of the best. I obtained my Broker's license and started "YachtSource" in 2001. With over 30 years experience and hundreds of transactions to date, I have maintained an excellent reputation as one of the "good guys" in the industry. I sell boats all over the continent. Whether buying or selling, I can put this knowledge and experience to work for you!

A native San Diegan, I grew up in a sailing family, and sailing has been a passion my whole life. I started teaching at the age of 18, and became a USCG licensed Captain in 1982, at the age of 21. I hold a 100-ton Master's Certificate, and regularly use my license for corporate charter regattas. I am qualified to teach on sail or power boats. As a former Realtor with Coldwell Banker, I have enhanced training and skills that are parallel to the Yacht Brokerage industry. I am an avid scuba diver, and owned a 38 foot sailboat for six years. While I now sell more power boats than sail, sailing and sailboat racing remains my passion.

I am a member in good standing with the California Yacht Broker's Association, which has high ethical standards. I utilize the CYBA contracts in my transactions, which offer the best protection for my clients. I regularly attend CYBA legal seminars to keep current on the latest issues and concerns.

I will provide you with the highest level of service, before, during, and after the sale. I want to share my expertise, and assist you making sound, educated decisions. If you are looking for a yacht broker who is friendly, honest, hard working, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, you need look no further. I encourage you to explore the additional links on my website, which you may find quite useful...especially to San Diego sailors and boaters!

2005 US$ 399,000

A RARE FIND...PRICED TO SELL and LLC OWNED!

Astondoa is Spain's premier builder of high-quality sport cruisers. Once advertised as "The choice of kings", the King of Spain owned a 100 footer. Quite popular in Europe, Astondoa Yachts are rare here in the USA. Astondoa has built thousands of boats in their 103-year history. Their current models range from 37 to 125 feet!  If you are looking for an elegant European Sport Cruiser that will set you apart from the rest, this boat is worth a look!

Constanza was custom built for her current owner in 2005, at a cost of $1.1Million USD! Since delivery, she has not even left San Diego Bay!  She is kept behind the owner's waterfront home, and used only for harbor cruises...so she has hardly been used!  Her powerful MAN 750 HP diesels provide an exhilarating cruise speed of 27 knots, and a top speed around 35 knots. They have only 415 original hours, and have been run weekly since delivery.

She has a full complement of Raymarine electronics and a Kohler genset. Desirable options  include a bow thruster, air conditioning, a pasarelle, and teak decking in the cockpit. She features three staterooms and two heads, both with separate stall showers. The showers have never been used, nor has the cooktop! She also has a compact "crew quarter" aft, including a berth, head and sink.

Seller is seeking a quick sale and has priced her aggressively. She is due for some maintenance and upgrades, but she is priced accordingly. "Constanza" is an excellent value for a high-end, European Sport cruiser of this size and model year on the West Coast!  Plus, she is is titled as a single-asset LLC.

PRELIMINARY SPECIFICATIONS, PENDING OWNER'S APPROVAL.
