2024 Rapido 40
This is an advertisement for the purchase of a future build new boat.
The Rapido 40 is designed and engineered as a high tech, all carbon, performance cruiser with a self-tacking jib, carbon spreaderless mast and an option for rolling furl boom.
The interiors have super light-weight strong, custom made furniture. Even the countertops are carbon! The flooring is made of cork.
While others are compelled to motor away from any weather systems, the Rapido can be powered up to simply sail away from any trouble they may present.
Safety is a big factor in the design and build. As well as carbon-foam construction, there are numberous watertight bulkheads and bulkheads with no penetrations below the waterline. The engine compartment is contained within watertight bulkheads.
Additional performance is achieved through the use of asymmetric twin "C" foils mounted in the floats instead of a daggerboard in the center hull. In addition to preventing side slipping, the foils provide lift that increases the righting moment and decreases the float's wetted surface and therefore there is also less frictional drag.
