Building on the ten-year success of the Krogen 58', the Krogen 52' offers the superb range and superior bluewater capability of its big sister as well as many of the same design elements with a raised pilothouse and spacious living areas. In keeping with the company's adherence to architectural integrity, the Krogen 52' is constructed with entirely new tooling as opposed to the all-too-common industry practice of simply “stretching” the hull version of a smaller model.
The liveability of the Krogen 52' is evident immediately as you board. The fully covered aft deck or “back porch,” a fun and functional feature of every Kadey-Krogen, gives way to the spacious saloon through welded aluminum weather-tight doors. Moving forward and to starboard is the fit-for-a-gourmet galley complete with full-size Jenn-Air® refrigerator and a four burner professional range with oven. The Krogen 52' also has a weather-tight Dutch door providing direct access to the galley from the starboard walkway.
Portside of the galley are the steps up to the pilothouse, complete with household-like standard risers and treads plus a rock-solid banister for a safe and sure grip at sea. The pilothouse on the Krogen 52' accommodates dual helm chairs, a first for a vessel of this size, allowing both captain and mate great visibility and a terrific site-seeing station to enjoy together.
Owners have the choice of a two- or three-cabin arrangement, with the master stateroom forward or amidships. Those opting for a two-cabin arrangement can enjoy the utility of a large dedicated office space. Two heads are standard with any configuration, and both heads boast an enclosed stall shower.
Standard power is a single John Deere 6068AFM75, a continuous duty 231hp engine. Optional power provided by two John Deere 4045TFM85 engines producing 160hp each. With 1,400 gallons of fuel, range is approximately 3,300 nautical miles at 7 knots with a top speed of 9.5 knots.
Since the first Kadey-Krogen was launched in 1977, our yachts have confidently cruised the world. No other builder has our length of experience or dedicated owner feedback, and as a result, the new generation of Kadey-Krogens are by far the best long-range choice available - on any sea.
