2023 / 2024 HammerCat 45
Hammer Yachts is proud to introduce the 2023 / 2024 HammerCat 45.
Built in epoxy and carbon fiber, this example of the next generation of power catamarans will be turning heads in any port.
No need for quad engines with epoxy / carbon fiber construction. Hammer Yachts' focus is on "weight vs horsepower" ratio.
Work on the moulds has started, production of the first hulls to start Q2 2023, first hull ready Q1 2024

HammerCat concept:
-Everything Hammer Yachts does revolves around the ‘weight vs horsepower’ ratio. If we build a light and strong vessel, we don’t need more engines and more tankage to compensate for the additional weight. Other center console power catamarans use a “quad engine” set up on their similar sized models and they weight up to 35,000 Lbs. The HammerCat 45 is build out of epoxy with vacuum infused e-glass, resulting in the “wet weight” of the vessel at 20,000 Lbs. This means that we can use half the horsepower compared to our competition and still get the same performance, yet ensuring the strength and durability required for offshore boating in any conditions.
-With twin 500 HP engines the top end will be >55 mph
-The HammerCat 45 is unsinkable: 65 cubic feet of XPS foam ensures that the HammerCat 45 will remain afloat if you hit a container / underwater object at high speed
-The carbon fiber hardtop of the HammerCat 45 measures 11’ x 16’ and weights just 250 Lbs., so there is no weight high up which can influence the ride in offshore conditions. The hardtop is much larger & wider than on most other center consoles, so you and your crew are protected from the sun / elements.
-The HammerCat is built for longevity using construction techniques normally only seen on offshore racing yachts.
-Epoxy has three to five times the flexural strength of polyester/ vinylester resins making the HammerCat stronger, more durable, lighter and thus more agile, seaworthy, fuel-efficient and more fun to drive. Epoxy resin is 25 percent stronger than the polyester resin used in most boatbuilding, with higher elongation properties for greater durability.
-The construction methods and materials employed by Hammer Yachts create stronger, yet lighter hulls that require less horsepower than the competitors and enjoy far better fuel efficiency getting up to twice the miles per gallon of similar boats.
-The HammerCat 45 has classic timeless lines with her Carolina bow, flared hull and great curves.
-It’s all about the ride: just like her smaller sister, the HammerCat 35, we designed the HammerCat 45 from the ground up: wave piercing hulls, no flat areas in the leading edges, high bridge deck clearance and a low center of gravity. The combination of these design features ensures a smooth ride where your passengers / crew don’t get slammed around and have to brace for impact in rough water. HammerCats slice through inclement conditions effortlessly.
