This late model Krogen 44AE "Talulah" is exceptional. It is ready for the buyer who not only desires a like-new 44AE, but who wants a yacht with every extra added detail after purchase in preparation for long-distance adventures. Truly a functional, smart, turn-key ready-to-cruise bluewater trawler. Extensively equipped and tastefully appointed for enjoyment that starts today.
Talulah’s pampered engine and sparkling engine room beckon to be seen. Special consideration was made in power usage and consumption on Taluah. In addition to the large alternator, a second inverter was added, not only for optimal charging but also for redundancy. The addition permits simultaneous use of components that draw heavy power (e.g., microwave, toaster oven, etc.) or either inverter can supply the entire 120v panel -a small, but important detail when cruising at length. Talluah also features upgraded hot water heater, 700 watts of solar paneling for reduced generator use - and an upgraded bilge pump in the lazarette ensuring a bone dry ride.
She has been prepared to take you safely and comfortably from the East Coast to Nova Scotia to the Great Lakes and then back and across to Alaska – including the addition of a supplemental hydronic heating system, keeping you warm while the vistas get cool. Considerable preparations were made for keeping you and Talulah safe in all conditions, with a complete supply of lifesaving equipment already installed and ready, plus extensive extras for docking or anchoring in any situation. The addition of a handheld YachtController makes single-handed docking a breeze. Rounded out by an impeccable maintenance log and substantial catalog of spare parts – you can ensure yourself a smooth transition as a new owner.
“Talulah has been a much loved treasure for my wife and me – bringing us together in new ways with each new passage, each new adventure. We built it with independence, functionality and capability at the forefront. We enjoyed caring for and cruising on Talulah - the boat, really, stands on its own. I have every confidence that Talulah will inspire a new chapter of adventure for the next owners.” - Owner
As a full displacement Krogen 44AE, Talulah happily cruises around 7kn with a range of 2850 nm and 2gph fuel consumption rate. You will not be disappointed in this exemplary Krogen 44AE. To replace and build new over $1.7m and two years.

Major components:
Owners Stateroom
The bright and tall forward owners suite features an island queen berth with six deep drawers and a notable amount of bulk storage underneath, accessed by pneumatic struts on a platform. Full-size deep hanging lockers are on both port and starboard, while an eight-drawer dresser with mirror with LED lighting throughout finishes the stateroom. In addition, there are small storage lockers (with interior outlets) on both sides of the master bed to keep electronics or machines neatly organized, yet accessible when you need them. A large overhead hatch with shade screen and four opening port lights with screens provide access and fresh air.
Additional features
The guest stateroom is to starboard and amidships. It is a multi-functional space featuring a den/office area, plus a large settee that converts to double berth for occasional guests (2). Overhead of the settee is closed cabinet shelving. A hanging locker, chest of drawers and additional storage is aft.
Located to port, the main head features a full size, separate molded fiberglass shower with tempered glass door, Dometic toilet, vanity, Cambria countertop, and sink. Storage underneath sink and behind toilet.
Forward of the head and also to port is a full size, stacking, separate Asko washer and dryer units.
The raised pilothouse of the Krogen 44AE is another multi-functional space featuring a wide command station at the helm, with quick access to all electronics and controls. A large chart table, drawers and storage sits to port, while an additional table and lower helm access to starboard. Behind the helm is a top-of-the line brand new Stidd helm chair (to be installed), followed by a comfortable settee that converts to a double-berth to serve as watch berth or sleep additional guests, plus a high/lo table for working or snacking. The pilothouse also features combination red/white lighting, chart lights, large windows, excellent sight lines, opening port lights and overhead hatches - while beautiful and practical dutch doors permit safety while allowing large amounts of fresh air inside – helping us to stay connected to the elements while indoors.
Electronics and Entertainment
The flybridge on the Krogen 44AE has one of best proportions of flybridge to superstructure ratios amongst the Krogen raised pilothouse designs, making the sightlines and accessbilty attractive. The helm sits to starboard with two helm chairs. To port is a settee with table. Hidden storage and electronics access is behind the settee. An additional large storage locker is under the settee with aft access. Starboard of the flybridge is a propane locker with (2) 20lb aluminum tanks.
