Built by Öckero shipyard and launched in 2015, Elna 2 is finest example of Swedish craftmanship. A 12m forked rigged ketch of 14 tons she is handcrafted in oak with oak frames, and is equipped with the latest technology for cruising and comfort. She is not a 'wooden boat' in normal sense - this is a modern, fully equipped, absolutely dry boat with heavy fiberglass cladding over the oak hull below the waterline, high gloss varnish above the waterline, teak deck and stainless steel rails.
She is equipped with a Mastervolt generator Ultra 6, full Mastervolt electrical system, including hot water radiator central heating system to all internal areas, large capacity fuel, water tanks, and holding tanks, and a sophisticated interior lighting system. There is 210V power supply to all areas.
The robust engine is a Ford 2725 E with approximately 200 running hours only. There are dual driving positions, one in the pilot house, and one aft of the pilot house externally, both with Simrad navigation.
The interior of the pilot house is oak with specially fitted oak table, cushioned seats, and Oregon pine floor. Below decks in the saloon the interior is rich mahogany and Oregon pine floor, with a well equipped kitchen (double stainless steel sink, infra-red hob, electric oven and fridge) and glass cupboards all around. There is a U-shaped sofa and oak dining table, two additional sofas, a navigation area and captain's bunk. Forward of the saloon there is a mahogany clad shower room and toilet, and master bedroom, all with portholes and opening sky-lights.
This beautiful yacht is virtually new, showing no signs of use, and has been over-wintered inside in climate controlled conditions.
