SWEET RIDE is an extensively equipped 44'AE Widebody that is in excellent condition. She is set-up for extended periods away from the dock, and incorporates all the improvements embodied in the AE designation; expanded galley, walk-through cockpit doors, molded steps to the boat deck, more social flybridge arrangement, easy engine room access and more. She has received constant attention, service, and upgrades, and is absolutely turn-key.
SWEET RIDE has just received her semi-annual boot stripe to masthead detailing. Just bring your cruising clothes and provisions, and head off to your favorite destination, near or far. SWEET RIDE will take you there in total comfort and safety. Start making new memories today.
The aft deck is fully covered making it an extension of the saloon, and the perfect setting for al fresco dining. There are full walk-thru doors to port, starboard, and in the transom. There is a convenient fresh hot and cold water shower just inside the transom door. There is a wing door to starboard leading to the side deck, and providing the option to enclose the entire aft deck to extend the season in more northern latitudes.
The saloon is entered from the aft deck via double powder coated aluminum weathertight doors. Abundant natural light and ventilation is provided by large opening screened windows port and starbboard, and an opening aft bulkhead window. Each window is accented with an American Cherry valance and curtains. There is also a retractable insect screen for the entrance doors.
To starboard is an Ultra-leather L-shaped settee, expandable hi-lo pedestal table and entertainment cabinet, and a pop-up LCD TV.
To port are two Ekornes chairs with ottomans and a concealed icemaker.
As with all interior areas of SWEET RIDE there is fitted carpet with Sounddown underlayment over the cherry and holly strip sole.
In addition to the LCD TV there is also a 5.1 surround sound system with Kef speakers and subwoofer.
All lighting is LED.
One of the areas that sets the AE apart from the pre-AE 44's is the galley. It has been enlarged to accommodate a full-size refrigerator/freezer, and 4-burner stove with oven.
Major galley components include:
Opposite the galley is the buffet/bar with drawer storage, opening port, and pantry.
Down and forward from the saloon/galley is the master stateroom with an island queen bed, hanging lockers port and starboard, under berth storage, a bureau with additional drawer storage and large lighted mirror, and a bulkhead mounted LCD TV.
There are four opening ports and an overhead hatch, all with screens, providing excellent natural ventilation for those nights at anchor. Since the Krogen Pure Full-Displacement hull form has no chines or spray rails there is no wave slap, just the gentle rocking with the waves. It is truly therapeutic.
Aft of the master stateroom on the starboard side is the very comfortable guest cabin/den. There is a large L-shaped Ultra-leather settee that converts to a double berth for overnight guests. There are two opening ports, generous book and shelf storage, drawer storage, hanging locker, and an LCD TV.
Aft of the master stateroom on the port side is the laundry with an Asko washer and dryer followed by the large head with stall shower. There is a Corian countertop, medicine cabinet, Seagull water purifier with dedicated faucet, Dometic MasterFlush fresh-water toilet, and generous storage. The separate stall shower has a large molded seat and temperature controlled shower fixture.
Up and forward from the saloon/galley is the raised pilothouse, the command center for SWEET RIDE. From here the captain has excellent visibility while seated in the Stidd helm chair. Friends and family can also enjoy the passage from the raised Ultra-leather settee. The settee also makes an excellent off-watch berth, and even converts to a double berth for overnight guests
Exterior access is gained through powder-coated aluminum weather tight Dutch doors port and starboard. Natural ventilation is provided by the Dutch doors, two large opening ports in the aft bulkhead and two overhead hatches.
The flybridge and boat deck are accessed by molded steps located outside the pilothouse port side.
The boat deck carries the fore/aft mounted Highfield tender, the canister liferaft, and dunnage box. The tender can be lauched to port or starboard using the aluminum mast and boom with two electric hoists. The Trident propane locker is conveniently located on the starboard wing, as is the Magma propane grill.
The flybridge offers 360 degree visibility for both captain and guests. The starboard helm has a full compliment of navaids, and the captain is well positioned in the Stidd helm seat.
There is a large L-shaped settee and pedestal mounted table, perfect for your morning coffee, or your favorite sundowner. The entire flybridge is covered by the bimini top. There is also storage under the settee.
The bow is easily accessed from either side of the pilothouse. Immediately forward of the pilothouse is a full width seat with storage under, the perfect place to get your Vitamin D and a little wind in your hair.
The bow pulpit accommodates two anchors, shore power inlet, dockside water inlet, fresh and salt water washdowns. The chain locker access is from the fore deck via a Freeman hatch, eliminating the need for access from the master stateroom. This keeps humidity and odor associated with the anchor chain and rode out of the stateroom. The chain locker also drains directly overboard so you can periodically wash down the entire area, keeping it fresh and clean.
