This 230 DC came in for a complete makeover. She has now received a fresh service from a Yamaha Certified Mechanic. A full detail on the entire boat. New Trim tab hardware and zincs, a full bottom job. A prop clean and polish from Bobby Soles Prop shop. No detail was left out in the recent work performed to get this boat ready for the next owner. We have gone through the entire boat from stem to stern. Call today if you want to see this low Hour beauty.
The 230DC is designed for the family who loves being on the water. This boat goes from fishing to wake boarding in style and comfort. Innovation is everywhere in the design. The arch has an integrated sun-top, built-in rod holders, outrigger mounts, and a ski pylon, and the tempered glass windshield has completely frame-less forward glass and integrated handrails for an unobstructed view.
In the cockpit, the passenger seat swivels 180 degrees to keep an eye on skiers and also reclines into a comfortable lounge. The in-deck storage locker is handy for wake boards or skis, and the 2 swim platforms with telescoping ladder make boarding easy. For anglers there's a 38-gallon fishbox, 27-gallon circulating livewell, and a prep sink with raw water sprayer. Standards also include a stereo with 4 speakers and a head compartment with porta-potty.
Everglades uses RAMCAP (rapid molded core assembly process) construction, injecting foam into a stainless-steel mold built to the precise tolerances of the hull. This creates a solid structural block of six-pound-density foam that fits exactly into the hull. It’s glassed into the hull and vacuumed together to create a single structure. Because of that, Everglades doesn’t need to inject foam into the hull sides, allowing for thinner topsides and more room in the interior. So the boat feels wider than other boats with an 8-foot-6-inch beam that I’ve tested.
The resulting performance: We hit a nasty confused chop at 50 mph with nary a shudder, rattle or flex. That’s great for the family-fun aspect of the boat, which includes a ski pylon built into the arch, molded swim platforms, fold-down cockpit jump seats, swiveling passenger console seat, bow cockpit and sun-lounge insert (among others).
The frameless windshield is another construction plus; the glass is embedded into a sturdy powder-coated frame with beefy supports and built-in grab rails. It looks cool and offers more evidence that this boat is built solid from top to bottom.
