The Amel 55 is built and designed to the highest standards of luxury, ease of use and safety for a couple to cruise comfortably and effortlessly anywhere in the world. This Amel 55 is in excellent condition and has only cruised the Mediterranean and Queensland coast with a low 1500 engine hours to date. The Amel 55 is ketch rigged with a staysail, which is easy to sail shorthanded with all sailing controls leading to the centre cockpit. All sails are easily and quickly set or furled by the reliable AMEL electric furling system which are controlled by toggle switches at the helm. Genoa and mail sail sheets are controlled by Harken electric winches. A spinnaker pole is fixed on the mast for downwind headsail control and an asymmetric gennaker is included for fast downwind passages.
The Amel 55 features a centre cockpit with a hardtop and a removable winter (bad weather) enclosure. An extendable sliding sun roof protects the entire cockpit. A folding centre table and cockpit cushions make this area a convivial entertaining space, as well as a safe and protected helm station. Removable boom tents attach to both booms giving rain and sun protection at anchor, and with the aft deck sunbeds the Amel 55 transforms into your own private beach cabana.
Safety is paramount in all Amel Yachts and the Amel 55 includes the following features:

The layout is owners 2 cabin / 3 heads. Aft is the owners stateroom with ensuite and forwards is a guest double berth cabin and ensuite. The galley is very well equipped for passage making and entertaining with a Force 10 gas stove, electric fridge and freezers. Comfort on board is complemented by air conditioning and heating.

The boat also features extensive Mastervolt electrics with 720 amp/hr 24v lithium battery bank, Onan genset with low hours and solar panels providing complete cruising freedom.
