2008 DeFever Pilothouse
"Hele Mai" is a 46' DeFever Pilot house and a seasoned ocean-going explorer. A traditional trawler-style fiberglass hull designed by Art DeFever, she was commissioned by her original owner who spec'd her down to the last detail with many upgrades both mechanical and aesthetic. Her bulbous bow and Naiad stabilizers keep her ride smooth through rough waters and maximize her fuel efficiency, while her teak decks and holly sole make her a warm and welcoming place to entertain. "Hele Mai" always turns heads at the docks or on the water.
The flybridge makes a perfect spot to whale watch and the bimini canvas cover and isinglass make for comfortable cruising in the off season. Enjoy a morning espresso on the aft deck while taking in the sights off the stern. Or start your day at anchor exploring in the pair of Eddyline kayaks - adventure or relaxation await!
For the past ten years, "Hele Mai" has fulfilled the retirement dreams of her owners: exploring the Inside Passage and Southeast Alaska in all seasons. She has truly lived up to her name (which means "Let's Go" in Hawaiian) cruising the Pacific Northwest from Gig harbor to Prince William Sound in Alaska.
