This 2006 Monterey 302 CR is a great mid-range express cruiser with low-hour. The XDP Composite drives were replaced in 2013 with DPS B drives. The Monterey 302 is an impressive blend of American sporty styling, luxurious accommodations, and state-of-the-art construction. The spacious beam and a functional cabin, single head floor plan provide the 302 CR with cabin dimensions that most other Express models would envy. Monterey interiors have always been among the best in the business, and the accommodations of the Monterey 302 Cruiser are impressive in every respect.
The forward berth can be converted to a berth or left as a secondary dinette and full galley to starboard. The mid-cabin with a wood door gives privacy for extended stays on the hook or cruising.
In the cockpit, the captain's chair, the aft opposed bench seats and the port-side lounger make for a very social atmosphere. A gas-assisted hatch provides easy access to the engine room. An extended swim platform makes a day at the sandbar a breeze for all the family and friends. Twin Volvo Penta 5.7 Osi with DPS B drives cruise the 302 Cruiser at 27 knots (36 knots top).
As handsome as it is rugged, the Monterey 302 Cruiser boasts high performance even in strong seas. Comfortable seating abounds in the cockpit, complimented by a full wetbar. The large double helm seat offers plenty of room for comfort to choose a course and oversee the full instrument panels. Beyond the transom door, the molded-in swim platform has a recessed, telescopic, stainless steel boarding ladder and an ample transom storage compartment. Move forward through the convenient walk-through windshield, and there's even a foredeck sunpad. Below, there's a V-berth forward, and the midcabin dinette conveniently converts to a sleeping berth. Passengers will appreciate the fully enclosed head with unique shower seat, sink, shower, and vanity storage. The handsome one-piece fiberglass galley is spacious and includes a built-in coffee maker, drawer storage, 12-volt lighting, stove, AC/DC refrigerator, and sink with faucet. The midcabin double berth has adjacent changing space concealed behind a privacy door.
