This Hunter 38 has been meticulously maintained and pride of ownership shows throughout vessel with upgraded Yanmar 40Hp Diesel Engine from factory and also a Bronze 3 Blade Max Prop was added. The owner made numerous upgrades to the vessel in 2020 including NEW Sails, NEW Zodiac Tender, bottom stripped and epoxy coated w/2 coats antifouling paint, NEW Thru Hulls, NEW Rocna Stainless Anchor, Digital Display for Fuel, Water, Waist, NEW Icom Radio, Victron Battery Monitor System ,all new dock lines, cockpit cushions, V-Berth NEW Purple Mattress and regular dive service on the vessel.
Belowdecks Hunter emphasis is on practicality with laminated Ever Sole Floors instead of Teak& Holly and interior is finished with a Bright Cherry Gloss finish. The Salon is spacious with plenty of natural light and 6;6'' headroom with a full Galley, large u-shaped Dinette with additional seating to port and both convert to berths. Aft is the Master staterooms and forward V-Berth both with custom mattresses and nice size head with shower stall off the Master & Salon. The new Hunter 38 replaces the popular 386, the last of which rolled out of the Florida plant May 27, 2004 following a highly successful seven year run. Hunter's famed designer and racer Glenn Henderson returned to the drawing board with one focus in mind. "Our goal was to design a boat that was an exceptionally comfortable cruiser, yet offered outstanding performance and easy handling," said Henderson. "Our new 38 has met -- and exceeds -- expectations." The 38 is Hunter's largest mid-size cruiser in its fleet. While Hunter is quick to acknowledge that the market is competitive in this class, the company believes it is a powerful niche and is confident its new boat will make waves due to its many innovations. In addition, the appearance of the boat itself offers an optional departure featuring red stripes, a red Hunter logo and linen bimini top.

VESSEL DESCRIPTION
Hunter's famed designer and racer Glenn Henderson returned to the drawing board with one focus in mind. "Our goal was to design a boat that was an exceptionally comfortable cruiser, yet offered outstanding performance and easy handling," said Henderson. "Our new 38 has met -- and exceeds -- expectations." The 38 is Hunter's largest mid-size cruiser in its fleet. The 38 continues Hunter's use of modular construction. For the most part the interior is built outside the boat using computer controlled jigging that reduces labor costs and also improves quality due to precision cutting and easy access. The molded units are then bonded to the hull. The interior layout, starting from the bow, is the forward cabin with a V-berth, cedar lined hanging lockers and shelves. Moving aft is the main cabin with a settee to port and a U-shaped dinette to starboard. Moving aft is the galley to starboard and the navigation station to port, followed by a walk through head / shower compartment leading to the aft cabin stateroom, which features an athwart ships queen berth, dressing seats and two hanging lockers.
