The F-31CC is the Center Cockpit or Aft Cabin version of the well-proven, maxi-trailerable F-31. The mast is an aluminum rotating wing section that is 42.5' tall. The sail plan is simple and efficient with a square-top mainsail, blade jib, asymmetric spinnaker, and screacher. Flown from the end of a seven-foot bow sprit, the roller furling screacher is one of the most powerful and versatile sails in the inventory and can be used to windward in light airs instead of a genoa. Interior moldings and equipment have been kept to a minimum to save weight, which boosts sailing performance. Nevertheless, cabins are spacious with standing headroom, a double bunk forward in the v-berth, and two single settees in the main cabin and a double bunk aft. Cruising amenities, such as a head and galley, can be selectively added.
The aft cabin version of the F-31 has a double berth forward in the v-berth and a double berth in the aft cabin. Both the port settee and starboard settees may be set up as single berths. Alternatively, the main cabin may be set up as a full width double berth (see photos).
The galley counter is located immediately to port as you enter the main cabin. It is a large flat surface with am Origo 2 burner alcohol stove plus a sink with hand pumped fresh water supply (New Fynspray galley pump).
The head compartment is located beneath the v-berth and is accessed by removing the aft cushion section and lifting a hinged platform out of the way. There is a porta potti chemical toilet included.
