One piece hand laminated fiberglass. (2) Longitudinal stringers, (10) transverse stringers and grit port and starboard. 4” to 5” laminated cheer clamp. Deck and cabin house: custom designed. Construction all with Bronzyl-Okume Marine Ply (10 year warranty under water). West System epoxy and 3 layers 10 oz. Fiberglass cloth. Teak Deck. Aft cabin top and cockpit teak overlay, all in West System epoxy, seams = epoxy and graphite. (No screws). Sprayed on 2” closed cell polyurethane foam inside hull to the waterline and under deck.
Alaskan yellow cedar slats over foam fastened to stringers and white Formica finish under deck. Goijot aluminum toe rail thru-bolted forming a stiff and integrated unit. Rub rails have solid SS strips. Hull and cabin sides are finished in white Awlgrip LP paint. Forward cabin top has Awlgrip non-skid. Underbody has (10) coats of epoxy barrier coat to 2” above water line. Red boot stripes and red Seahawk bottom paint
(4) full bulk heads, (4) partial bulk heads. Super structure port and starboard for SS chain plates. Hull and deck join in epoxy with fiberglass-Kevlar-epoxy overlay.
The Companionway entrance is on the starboard side from the aft cockpit. The hatch being teak with plexiglass top. While drop boards are either one piece plexiglass or 2-part teak clear LP finish. The teak companionway ladder is hinged for access underneath with large curved steps and non-skid clear LP finish.
Forward Cabin:
A solid teak door leads to forward cabin with V-berth, storage lockers and drawers under. The cushions are high quality foam covered in dark green fabric. Berth is 6' 7". The forward bulk head has a large teak louvered door to the anchor compartment with complete access to chain, Maxwell 1200 windlass under deck installation, switch and wiring plus SS dome light. The Cabin sides are Alaskan yellow cedar slats clear LP finished, bulkheads are covered with solid teak slats set in West System epoxy and varnished. Overhead a 22"x22" Bowmar tinted hatch, white formica and (3) SS dome lights. There is a SS 4x10 opening port fwd, tinted portlights each side. Cabin headroom is 6'3".
Stored under the V-berth are 300 HT 5/16 chain, 45# CQR anchor, 15kg. Bruce never used as well as 600ft.+ 5/8 nylon rode and misc. lines and spare parts for anchoring.
Head:
The head compartment is exceptionally roomy from port to stbd, ample handholds and completely water tight. The toilet is port side facing forward, close to the bulkhead. A simple system allows pump-out directly overboard or in a polyethylene holding tank with gravity drain or deck pump-out. Next to port is a counter with the flexible shower faucet attachment. A shower curtain runs fore and aft on a SS-tube. A Rule 1500 w/float switch shower sump is under the toilet with access hatch in addition to a hand pump in the locker.
Forward of the toilet and shower area close to the forward full bulkhead is a sink counter with SS oval sink, H&C faucet, a mirror above the counter, a shelf locker with teak louvered door on the outboard side and storage locker under the sink counter with teak louvered door. To stbd are 2 large lockers, shelf locker, a hanging locker housing a distribution panel for the mast wiring. The mast is stepped closed to the main bulkhead inside the head compartment on a SS-base, connected to a large steel plate over the keel.
(4) Rods connect the mast base to a SS-mast collar on the cabin top. Any rainwater will collect in the shower sump and NOT in the Bilge. There are (2) 4"x10"SS-opening ports on each side of the cabin top sides and (2) 9"x9" Bowmar tinted hatches overhead. (2) SS-dome lights are installed. The headliner is white with mahogany-spruce laminated beams, finished in clear Awlgrip. Counters have round corner posts and teak rails. The shower area is white Formica finish, the rest solid teak slats-varnished. Cabin sole is ¼" solid teak over ¾" marine ply, set in West System epoxy with white pigment epoxy seams, and clear LP finish.
Main Salon:
There is one 4" step down to the salon from the galley-Nav Station area. A large L-shaped dinette is ahead of the galley on the portside with a teak inlaid table on SS Pedestals bolted to the floor grid. There are 4 louvered teak doors to lockers, a shelf, SS dome light.
To stbd opposite the dinette is a settee. All cushions are highest quality foam covered dark green Mercedes-leather, cabin is finished with solid teak slats. There is ample storage behind the back rests. There are full length teak handrails on port and stbd. Two 4.5"'x21" tinted fixed ports are on each cabin house side and a Bowmar 22"x22" tinted hatch over the dinette table. Headliner is white, red and white lights mounted.
Under the settee and dinette is easy access to (2) 20 gal polyethylene water tanks, 5g. 150-Temp water heater installed under the dinette which is engine heated or 110v. Aluminum 35g & 45g fuel tanks are under the cabin sole over the keel, with access hatches to the fuel distribution panel and dipsticks. Cabin sole is ¾" marine plywood covered with ¼"x1 ¾" solid teak slats set in West System epoxy with white pigment epoxy in seams. Two hatches in the cabin sole accesses more storage, speed transducer, all having positive latches to prevent them from falling out in a sea way.
The passageway door to the head compartment is solid teak, round top and radius corners at bottom. There are teak handrails on each side of the passageway to the head compartment. Overall, the main salon is light and open, spacious and provides for comfortable living, head room here is 6'3".
Interior Design:
A large stateroom is to port off the companionway ladder with a double berth measuring 6' 8", ample drawers and locker. To stbd is a wet locker with shelf. Forward the full size Nav station has extensive built-in electronic equipment, a comfortable leather seat with storage underneath. Three large drawers are under the Nav table plus a chart-compartment under the hinged chart table.
Opposite to port is a U-shaped galley, SS double sink is in the center line, a top loading refer on the island and the stove outboard with ample lockers and drawers. Forward of the half-bulkhead with divides the aft stateroom and galley is a counter with pull-out cutting board, (3) drawers and a swing-out door to the trash compartment.
The galley if finished with Formica counter tops in dark green decorator color, white Formica sides and fine laminated rails. Three lockers are on the outboard side with teak louvered doors. There are (2) SS 7"x14"opening ports on each side, long teak handrails, white overhead with clear mahogany-spruce laminated beams and a 22"x22" tinted Bowmar hatch over the sink. The teak rack mounted on the bulkhead over the counter holds plates, cups and paper towels. The bulkhead is white and all wood trim, doors, drawer faces and beams are finished in clear LP by Awlgrip.
Overhead LED lights are mounted are mounted throughout the boat in red & white plus chart light in the Nav-station. There is H & C fresh water faucet, drinking faucet, and saltwater spigot operated by foot pump behind a counter door. Fresh water pump is Shurflo with accumulator tank.
Refer/freezer a new Technautic Blue Cool, installed in May 2010 mounted under counter top for easy access. The stove is propane.
Aft of the hinged companionway ladder is a large storage compartment accessed through a louvered door in the partial bulkhead. At the bottom of this door is an integrated lidded box for all on-board tools. In the center line of the storage compartment are (3) 12v Penn 8D gel-cell batteries securely installed for house bank. Aft of the batteries is a Village Marine 12v modular Little Wonder 250 ? water maker installed. There is complete access to the vessels Whitlock-Cobra steering, the Robertson AP20 Autopilot computer and Simrad IS 15 transceiver for sailing instruments. Also installed is a 2000W Heart-interface inverter-charger with a Link 2000 controller-battery monitor mounted on the bulkhead cabin side next to the louvered door. Under the controller is: a 3-breaker AC panel, a 3-breaker DC panel, bilge pump panel, switch for engine room blower in and out. 3 amp meters (2) switches for solar panels and the DC main switch. (300A) (2) controllers for the solar panels are mounted on the inside of the bulkhead in the storage compartment. There are 3 dome lights and a fire extinguisher
On the starboard side of the compartment are all running rigging spare lines, bosun's chair, boarding ladder and an Achilles 9.6 inflatable. (deflated)
Aft of the water maker is a full bulkhead. Access to the Lazerette is through a watertight hatch, behind the aft cockpit coaming. From this Lazerette is complete access to the rudder shaft bearing for lubrication and steering mechanism, a Simrad autopilot hydraulic ram bolted to the bulkhead, plus the pump and rudder feed back unit. The Lazerette holds all dock lines, fenders, dinghy foot pump and a Mercury 6hp, 4 stroke OB. (1) SS-Dome light
There is H & C fresh water faucet, drinking faucet, and foot pump perates saltwater spigot. Fresh water pump is Shurflo with accumulator tank.
In the cockpit are (4) IS15 Simrad instrument heads installed in a fixed pod over the sliding hatch. On the Pedestal Guard is a Simrad Robertson AP 20 autopilot
All sailing deck hardware is oversize Lewmar Ocean 60 series tracks, cars and blocks, roller and ball bearing
