J Yachts J105, built-in 2001 BY J Boats Tillotson Pearson (France) to a Rod Johnstone design. GRP hull and deck with sandwich construction. Baltek end-grained balsa laminate construction using pre-impregnated and vacuum-bagged biaxial glass fabrics. White Gelcoat hull with style stripes white and grey two tone non-slip deck. Instrument recesses moulded in aft face of the coach roof on either side of companionway entrance. ORC 1.25 extruded toe rail on foredeck. GRP moulded main structural bulkhead, bonded fore and aft on hull and deck as support for chainplates. Solid fibreglass transverse keel support beams. Fabricated aluminium mast step with transverse beams fastened to main bulkhead. Lead and antimony fixed keel with bulb bolted to a deep moulded stub.
