Built by Custom Yachts in New Zealand and designed by Greg Elliott, 'Goanna Go' is an Elliott 1650 Tourer berthed at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron and now For Sale with YOTI. Built in 2000, this incredibly well made and fast blue water cruising yacht has just undergone a large re-fit in Queensland and is ready for her next adventure.
Commissioned with a lifting fin keel with a retracted draft of 2M and a full draft at 3.5M, this fast Bluewater cruising yacht will suit a new owner looking for a safe and powerful cruising yacht.
In late 2021 her undersides, topsides and deck were professionally repainted at Gold Coast City Marina and her deck was also reapplied with non-skid. She also had a complete rudder bearing rebuild using Jeffa self-aligning bearings and her steering quadrant was modified to allow easy future rudder servicing. Her keel Hydraulics were checked and serviced, and two new Polythene water tanks were fitted, as well as new fridge and freezer systems. In addition to this, her entire rig was serviced and all the standing and running rigging was replaced.
'Goanna Go' is now in excellent condition and ready for inspection at RQYS Brisbane.
