PELICAN
The Gozzard 36 is an elegant blue water sailing yacht of rich construction and beguiling character uniquely designed for a sailing couple with occasional guests, a small family, or a singlehander!
The interior is finished in furniture-grade cherry.
The unique design of the Gozzards permits the forward saloon area to easily convert to a completely enclosed private cabin.
There have been many recent upgrades that are shown in detail below. Some highlights include:
- All new North sails
- New standing rigging
- New winches
- New navigation electronics
- New prop shaft, cutlass bearing, shaft seal, and Bullflex shaft coupling
- New engine heat exchanger
- Fresh Water: 100 gal. 2 fiberglass tanks with epoxy tank coat and with a removable top for easy cleaning
- Fuel: 55 gal. aluminum
- Holding: 25 gal. fiberglass
The innovative Gozzard 36 open plan is a refreshing departure from the traditional sailing yacht layout that must be seen to be appreciated. Ted Gozzard designed a uniquely functional and flexible plan.
The bright richly finished interior joinery is handcrafted to furniture quality throughout using American cherry with a teak and basswood sole.
The forward compartment is an open main salon by day that can be quickly converted to a roomy private stateroom by night. The opposing settee seats pivot together and become a centerline berth. A hinged bulkhead panel and double-hinged door close off this area to create a huge private stateroom. There is a low table with storage under the top on the centerline that converts to the base for a large dining table that easily seats six. There is a full-width cedar-lined hanging locker forward.
Next aft to port is the forward-facing navigation station followed by the refrigerator and freezer.
To starboard is a dinette for two people that extends from the centerline to the starboard side. Next aft is the C-shaped galley.
The aft is to starboard and features a queen size berth, standing room for changing, hanging locker, and storage cabinets.
On the port side aft is the head with a separate shower stall with a shower sump pump.
Her bright light richly finished interior joinery is handcrafted to furniture quality throughout in American cherry with a teak and basswood sole.
Aft on the centerline, aft are the companionway steps. The engine access is under and also under the aft cabin berth.
Elegant and clever touches abound. Hinged screen doors and hatch screens keep the pests away.
