1996 Edel AventureWhen first sailed it is immediately obvious that the boat has good performance and stability. It is responsive, easy to tack and a pleasure to sail. As for speed you can easily reach 12 to 15 knots while staying on the level. The cuddy design offers space and privacy, whilst allowing the hulls a fine waterline profile and the bridgedeck low windage. Ideal for fast cruising with family members or friends.
This vessel has GRP construction with three aluminium cross-beams. Originally designed and constructed to be demountable, the boat has never been demounted. Unusually the Edel Aventure has a pod-type saloon on the bridgedeck, allowing safe and secure access between the saloon and the hulls to the mast, foredeck and trampoline. The keels are low aspect ratio with wooden skids allowing the boat to dry out on firm sand or level stony ground with the rudders clear of the ground.

Both hulls have a companionway ladder from the deck into a vestibule. Aft of the vestibule is a double cabin, and forwards is a heads which then gives access to the forward cabin. On the port side, the forecabin is suitable as a single berth for one large person, or as a double berth for smaller adults or children. In the starboard forecabin there is an additional bunk, allowing up to three people to be accommodated depending on size. In addition, one person could also sleep in the saloon if required. The boat is therefore capable of sleeping up to 10 people, although 6 or 7 would be more normal
Interior is bright and clean, good saloon seating in an L-shape and galley facing starboard/aft towards companionway door. Accommodation is simple and clean offering a good balance between sailing performance, light weight and accommodation.
