She was fitted with every conceivable appliance for the ultimate luxury cruising. Her special ‘James Bond’ features make her even more interesting: hydraulic hardtop, lifting keel and the ‘drive in’ dinghy garage, where an ingenious folding deck/transom arrangement enables a water jet dinghy to be driven right up into the back of the boat.

The Baltic 87 is described as ‘ahead of her time’. She was fitted with every possible appliance for ultimate luxury cruising. This could have been a heavy boat, but she has vacuum-bagged epoxy construction, so her displacement stays within very acceptable levels.

Her modern lifting keel system was a big step into the future, as was the “James Bond” style dinghy garage where a custom folding deck/transom arrangement enables a water jet dinghy to be driven right up into the back of the boat. That was another example of Baltic’s innovative thinking and engineering.

She has a good amount of deck space in the front that is followed by her protected cockpit. When you step out on deck, she has a beautiful seating area surrounded by a table that fits up to 10 guests. The table houses a 24V chiller. The solid carbon hardtop covering this cockpit, which deploys hydraulically from a nested position on the pilothouse, where it is invisible during sailing passages. It provides plenty of shade, and is also extendable towards the helm, for lovely dinners out at sea. Aft, above the dinghy garage, there are spacious sunbeds to enjoy the summer breeze on anchor.

As you step below deck, you are brought into the spacious pilothouse saloon, with lots of daylight. Her protected interior cockpit with her complete helm station you will find forward to port, a comprehensively equipped navigation station with full visibility. On the same site there is a large dinette, with fixed seating outboard and three hi/low custom swivel seats inboard.

Aft and outboard to starboard is an ‘L’ shaped settee with cocktail table and entertainment area with flat screen TV on the aft bulkhead. Forward to starboard are custom stowage drawers for flatware, silverware, glasses and liquor.

The very well-equipped gourmet galley with all amenities has a great height and creates a sense of light and open space. You find her right next to the saloon, walking down to the second floor. The galley is equipped with Miele only: microwave-oven, dishwasher, burner gimbaled electric/induction marine stove, large fridge-freezers with front opening units and retractable trays for long passages, huge storage space and two sinks. Also, there is a washing machine and dryer onboard.
