1995 Custom William Atkin Ingrid 3838ft

‘Idora’ is an incredibly well-built and maintained William Atkin Ingrid 38 with a Custom Pilothouse that was incorporated into the original build by Makela Boatworks in Ft. Bragg, CA. ‘Idora’s’ construction was chronicled in Wooden Boat Magazine.

She’s powered by a well-maintained Yanmar 4JH Turbo 62HP Diesel with 2083 hours and a MaxProp for efficient sailing and motoring. In 2016 the current owners had the entire cockpit replaced by Haven Boat Works in Port Townsend incorporating a new storage and LPG System. For Navigation the boat has a Raymarine HybridTouch Chart Plotter, Raytheon Radar, Auto Pilot, Wind Instruments and more! Cockpit and Pilothouse Steering is on a Hydraulic Ram attached to the Rudder and switching from one to the other is simple with the turn of a switch.

On deck ‘Idora’ has a comfortable Cockpit with storage, the Side-Decks are wide and easy to maneuver fore and aft and the Life Lines are double row 3-Strand on stout SS Stanchions.

Going down below through the Companionway Door takes you into the Pilothouse that is extremely well lit with great visibility in all directions. Immediately to port is the Dinette. The Aft Seat houses a NorCold Refrigerator, the Forward Seat is open Storage. To starboard is the interior Steering Station with a Captains Chair, Navigation Equipment and Storage under and Aft of the Steering Station.

Going forward from the Salon and Steering Station takes you down a step into the Galley, Crew Cabin and Head. The Galley is to starboard with lots of Storage, a Double Stainless Steel Sink with Hot and Cold Pressure Water, 3-Burner Stove, Oven and Icebox. A Custom Automatic Draining system has been installed for the Sinks, Shower and Ice Box. The Crew Cabin is accessed through a Privacy Door and is a Double Berth with an opening Port Light. The Head is forward and has an Electric Toilet, Sink and Shower with Storage.

The Main Cabin is all the way forward and has a Hanging Locker, V-Berth, Storage and a Dickenson Diesel Cabin Heater with Fans to disburse the heat throughout the vessel.

‘Idora’ has been well-cared for by the current owners and is in sail-ready condition! The Pilothouse really makes this vessel the perfect boat to explore the PNW and beyond!
