The In-mast furler separates this 22 from virtually all other 22'ers out there. Add to that feature 700 lbs of ballast 150 lbs more than most 22'ers) and then enjoy the virtually 8' long cockpit, the real galley, the marine head with holding tank and the lift top that gives stand up head room of a reported 6' 4" and you'll find this Rhoades 22 above the crowd in many a respect.
She is a keel centerboard boat and can sail in 20" of water and with the board down still only requires 4' of water to sail smartly. And the centerboard can be raised by hand and does not require turning the winch down below 20 plus times to raise her. Just a reasonable / manageable effort from the cockpit.
Twin backstays, a mast head rig, and both forward and aft lowers in addition to the side stays when you see how the boat is put together you'll have confidence in her structure for virtally anything you and mother nature might throw her way.
Further, this well cared for 1993 Rhoades 22 come complete with a Triad Trailer and an 8 hp Yamaha outboard. Pretty much ready to go sailing. The only thing to add is you and your first mate.
Currently located @ Paris Landing on the Tennessee River/Kentucky Lake waters she can easily be brought to our yard here in Memphis or better yet to your house or your marina. Not too many of these boats available but she should not stay available for very long.
Please call for arranging a chance to see this nifty 8' long cockpit, marine head equipped sailboat that includes not just a rollerfurler for the headsail but an in-mast furling system for the mainsail. She is easily sailed with 4 to 6 on board, but lends herself to easy single handing when to mood strikes.
IT'S YOUR MOVE ! !
