Exterior Description
This custom Ocean 61’ Flush Deck Motoryacht with Cockpit is a production built Ocean 53 that has been extended with the addition of a cockpit to 61’ overall by Modutech in Tacoma Washington. The vessel has a hard-chined hull with a raked stem with anchor platform and a transom stern with stern platform with swim ladder. There are stainless steel capped rubrails on the hull sides and there is a stainless steel bow pulpit followed by teak handrails that run around the foredeck on stainless steel stanchions.
The deck layout is that of a flush deck wide-bodied motoryacht with cockpit. The foredeck has a hatch over a storage compartment which has access to the chain locker followed by a low forward cabin trunk with a bench seat forward, large side windows, and a skylight hatch over the forward accommodations. The main cabin follows with the wheelhouse forward with port and starboard doors to short side decks. The cabin then expands to full beam and has large side windows and an aft door to a California deck. The California deck has port and starboard cabinets and loose furniture, and a stairway down into the cockpit. The cockpit has the port forward with a control station and a storage compartment beneath, a flush sole hatch to the lazarette, and a transom door to the stern platform.
The flying bridge deck has a centerline helm station with two pedestal pilot seats, followed by port and starboard L-shaped settees with tables. There is a radar arch above. The boat deck is aft of the flying bridge and has a starboard forward barbecue, centerline chocks for a tender, and a davit crane to port aft.
Interior Description
The forwardmost compartment is a chainlocker with deck access. Next aft is a VIP stateroom with an island double berth and port and starboard hanging lockers, port side vanity, and a starboard side door to the head compartment. A passage follows with a second door to the head compartment, aft steps to the pilothouse, and port aft steps down to the crew quarters. The crew quarters have port side stacked berths, an aft shower compartment, a central aft door to the engine room, starboard side washer and dryer, and a passage leading forward under the VIP stateroom to the bow thruster bilge.
The engine room is next aft. The aft accommodations follow with a port side head/shower compartment followed by a passage with inboard stacked berths, steps up to the salon, and the master stateroom aft. Following the engine room on the starboard side is a head with tub enclosure followed by the master stateroom, which has a forward vanity, port and starboard hanging lockers and cabinets, and an aft island double berth.
The pilothouse has a starboard side helm followed by a side door and a helm seat, and central forward steps leading to the forward accommodation. On the port side is a U-shaped galley and side door. The salon follows and has starboard forward steps up to the flying bridge, followed by cabinet with ice maker and refrigerator, followed by two arm chairs. On the port side of the salon an entertainment center is followed by a dining table with four chairs, followed by steps leading down to the aft accommodations.
