Sofia Rey is truly a lovely blue water sailing yacht. Gozzard Yachts have earned their reputation for rock-solid quality construction and safe comfortable sailing.
The interior open concept provides a bright and roomy area that can quickly be transformed into three separate cabins. The forward cabin can quickly be changed from a roomy living room to a private master stateroom with a walk-around centerline double berth, or a dining space for six people.

Sofia Rey interior is the classic innovative Gozzard layout with open sightlines and a multi-use forward compartment that makes this 36-footer feel like a 40-foot boat.
The interior was custom built for the first owner to provide 6'4'' of headroom. The interior joinery is finely crafted and provides a warm ambiance and nautical charm. There are eleven opening ports and two deck butterfly hatches which provide excellent natural ventilation and ambient light. All ports are fitted with custom white curtains and both deck hatches and the companionway have custom screens. Cabinets all have cane inserts for ventilation. There is a brass clock.
FORWARD/SALOOM CABIN - Furnished with a large U-shaped settee that easily converts to a spacious double berth measuring 6' 8'' in length. Storage compartments are located forward and outboard of the settee back cushions with additional storage shelves above to port and starboard. A large cedar-lined locker is located above the forward section of the settee with even more storage beneath the settee. Moving aft on the starboard side there is a bureau with drawers and a small portable bench seat with storage inside. A clever bulkhead just aft of the bureau has a sliding top portion that can be lowered to open the space or raised to provide privacy to the forward section of the cabin. To port, there is another bureau with four large vertical drawers and a shelf on top. This bureau is covered by a full-length hinged door which doubles as a privacy door when opened.
GALLEY - Located to port and furnished with white Corian countertops and plenty of storage space outboard.
SALON - Furnished with an L-shaped settee to starboard opposite the galley with storage compartments outboard and above. There is a white privacy curtain that can be used when this is used as a berth. A sturdy pedestal table is situated on the centerline with a hinged leaf that folds aft to expand the table surface. There is a bulkhead-mounted brass clock and barometer.
COMPANIONWAY -The companionway enters the salon on the centerline. The engine compartment is directly beneath the companionway.
HEAD - Conveniently located adjacent to the companionway on the port side and furnished with a manual flush toilet, custom pull-out sink, storage cabinet outboard, and molded floor pan. There is a separate shower stall with a seat further aft and additional storage outboard.
AFT CABIN/NAV STATION - This space is divided from the salon by another partial bulkhead which has a hinged upper panel that can be raised or lowered for privacy or openness. A functional navigation desk is located outboard and has a hinged portion that can be lowered to make space when not in use. The electrical panels and instrument display. A large double berth is aft of the nav. station with a chart drawer above.
