1989 Catalina 42 Sloop
"GELUK" is the three cabin layout and is well suited for the cruising family, or have all your friends onboard. As a freshwater boat until 2018. "GELUK" has aged well. Large cockpit and easy to get around with a walk thru transom. Owners plans have changed and now offered for sale.
Accommodations:
"GELUK" has a generous cockpit that Catalina Yachts is known for. The side decks are wide with high stainless steel lifelines. The cockpit has long wide seats, great for stretching out. The low coach roof affords good visibility from the helm. The dodger provides good cover from the elements.
Step through the companionway doors and below into the spacious saloon. Immediately to starboard is a large head with new Jabsco toilet. Just aft of the head is one of two staterooms with a new custom mattress, ample storage, opening ports, and standing headroom. Immediately to port is an aft facing nav station and distribution panel with the second cabin just aft of the nav station, also with a new mattress.
Looking forward into the large airy saloon the galley runs down the starboard side all the way to the forward bulkhead, with lots of storage above and below. This configuration provides for more usable counter space than most layouts. Several opening ports keep it bright and comfortable. There is a centerline couch facing the port side for additional seating. All surfaces, such as counters, headliner, wood trim and cabin sole are all in nice condition, giving the entire boat the feel of one much younger.
Step through the forward bulkhead into the forward state room. A large pullman berth sits atop a bank drawers to port. To starboard is a single seat, a hanging locker, and more storage. Just forward of the main state room is a large head. A new Nature's Head composting toilet is to port while the sink and storage is to starboard and large shower on the center line.
