The Island Packet 31 is known all over the world for it's bulletproof construction, roomy interior and fine craftsmanship. HILBRE ISLAND is a clean example of this iconic Robert Johnson design. She has had only two owners in her 34 years and has been well maintained but does need a little TLC and some electronic upgrading.. With her cutter rig with all control lines lead back to the cockpit she is ideal for short handed or single handed sailing. She sleeps four comfortably and up to six if the need arises. you might want to add and or upgrade her electronics. A great boat to take you, your family or some friends on a great sailing adventure.

Moving down below through the wide companionway, one will be struck right away by the roominess of the cabin. The wide beam and 6' 3" of headroom make the IP 31 feel like a much larger boat.
To port is a U-shaped galley featuring a 2-burner Hiller Range propane stove/oven, a double stainless steel sink with H/C pressurized water and an Adler-Barbour refrigerator freezer, along with ample counter and storage space.
To starboard is a quarter berth that doubles as a seat for a forward-facing navigation table. The switch panel is readily accessible over the table, and the table folds up out of the way to provide easy entry and exit for anybody sleeping in the quarter berth.
The main salon is well-lit and ventilated by multiple opening ports and overhead hatches. Space is maximized by folding the dining table up against the bulkhead. The wood joinery and finish throughout the cabin is second to none in the boatbuilding industry. All woodwork below in HILBRE ISLAND is in excellent shape.
Forward and to starboard is the ships head which features a Jabsco manual marine toilet with a full-sized seat, a stainless sink with H/C pressurized water, a hand-held shower and plenty of storage in cabinets.
The large V-berth up in the bow has a removable section to allow easier movement while getting dressed. There are cabinets and drawers for storage.
The cushions throughout the boat are all clean and in great shape. Overall the accommodations are well thought out and even luxurious for cruising or living aboard.
The cockpit on the Island Packet 31 is large and seats six comfortably. With a cabin-top traveler out of the way and Island Packet's unique helm configuration and folding table, there is plenty of room for entertaining and dining. The dodger, Bimini and connector effectively turn the cockpit into a great space to relax while docked or at anchor; and a great place to take a nap.
