Merkens Galley provides access to helm area w/o walking thru helm.
The design is inspired by the traditional New England workboat hull. A solid fiberglass, full displacement hull with a plumb bow and a full-length, ballasted keel with a rounded transom. The Victory Tug hull is made of eleven layers of fiberglass starting with the keel and extending to a point six inches above the waterline and then continues upward with seven layers of fiberglass thereafter. Stout and Strong! A single, large teak log provided the matching material for the cabin sole, bead board, valances, cabinets, trim and deck of each of the tugs. This is hull 64 of a very successful production build of 76 hulls. Very economical to operate.
