The full-beam aft deck features a fiberglass hardtop cover with complete isinglass enclosure and clear acrylic wing doors closing this area off the from the sidewalks. A gentle-incline ladder forward and offset to port allows easy access to the flying bridge while bi-folding teak doors along the centerline provide cabin access. A large window to the flying bridge is offset to starboard (new) and allows great visibility aft from the upper helm. A smaller window to the salon is positioned below and again provides improved visibility from the lower helm. A large aft platform with non-skid decking is accessed down from the aft deck on the starboard side. Refurbishing Details
This vessel was originally owned and maintained for twenty years by an extremely knowledgeable Naval Officer and captain. The current owner carefully selected this yacht with plans for he and his wife to extensively cruise and stay onboard for extended periods of time, entertaining overnight guests occasionally. Reliability and safety were a priority. The current seller then began to outfit the boat accordingly. Price was not an issue....quality of the work was. Known deficiencies of this particular model and age-related concerns were properly tackled. Full documentation of the work performed, including records and hundreds of photographs are available and will convey to the new owner in the sale. Extensive manuals for Perkins Engines, the Jefferson Owner's Manual, and many parts manuals too, in both hard and soft copies.
Some of the refurbishing and preparation details include:
Addressing previous interior leaks
Addressing hull bottom (approximately $20K)

Louise came up with some loving words: Sweet Louise is well loved for her classic beauty and generous storage spaces and has been recently updated with new modular salon furniture with storage under, as well as custom curtains in there and in the staterooms.
"Sweet Louise" was cruised from Hilton Head, through the Chesapeake Bay, Hudson River, Erie Canal, Oswego Canal, to Trent, ON, then returned to North Carolina this fall. Some 2,400 miles. She is well loved and has done a fine job cruising.
