A truly unique vessel, the Oceanic (Parks Craft) 45 is a qualified racer and true bluewater-going yacht.
“Mandolina” was originally built for offshore club racing in the Southern Ocean. This beautiful Oceanic 45 was built for John Kint, Commodore of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, the oldest yacht club in Australia. John added lead to her keel to make her stiffer as well as extended the transom to add waterline. She competed in her first bluewater race from Melbourne to Davenport (on the north coast of Tasmania) in December 1986. Although now outfitted as a cruising boat, Mandolina is still fast, winning first place in her class in the 2012 Baja Ha Ha.
