This Monk 36 has been cruised in the Delta and San Francisco Bay by an active yachting couple since 1993, maintained professionally she remains in excellent condition. She features a custom hardtop on the bridge along with a full enclosure, and a Bimini covering the boat deck allowing ample covered deck space for entertaining or casual outdoor dining.
With classic trawler lines, this Monk 36 was designed by the acclaimed naval architect Edwin Monk Sr. The Monk 36 does an excellent job of maintaining the original concept of the trawler yacht as a safe, comfortable cruising yacht. They are solidly constructed of hand laid fiberglass and resin with solid laminate hulls. This design can be described as a graceful aft-cabin trawler offering a mix of simplicity, comfort and seaworthiness.
Her length overall is 39' 10", length on deck is 36 feet, beam is 13 feet and draft is 4 feet to the bottom of the keel. Bridge clearance is approximately 18 feet without lowering the steadying sail mast.
Sleeps 6 total, two in aft queen berth, two in forward v-berth, and two in drop down convertible settee. There is 9 feet of hanging locker space in aft cabin as well as three drawers with cabinets below. Aft head has vanity, toilet, and tub shower arrangement. Forward cabin has head with vanity, toilet, shower, and tall hanging locker and drawers and lockers.
Full galley with Norcold AC/DC Refrigerator with freezer, 4 burner propane stove with full oven (Magic Chef), dual deep stainless steel sinks, ample drawer and locker storage, also has custom built in cabinet to left of sink, and Microwave.

The engine driven pump (1) draws hydraulic fluid from the reservoir (2) and directs pressurized (800 - 1500 psi) fluid to control valve (3). At the direction of the switch in the helm station control panel (4), fluid is directed to the reversible thrust motor (5) through hose (6) or (7). Fluid then returns via the other hose through valve (3) and filter (8) back to the reservoir.
