Beach House is a lovingly maintained boat and is one of the very best Manatees afloat. She is a single stateroom model that has been owned by a very knowledgable owner. For her owners', the Manatee is the largest 36' boat on the water, with a spacious interior normally found on a 50' boat. With her shoal draft, exceptional fuel economy and generous accommodations, she is the perfect coastal and Bahamas cruiser. For the past 6-7 years she has been stored inside from 6 to 9 months of the year.
The Manatee hull and cabin are of fiberglass sandwich construction with closed-cell PVC foam core; heavy hand lay-up using mat and roving. The state of the art construction is one of the most enduring and safest afloat. (Closed-cell PVC foam does not deteriorate or absorb water. The composite structure serves both as a buoyancy material and shock, sound and temperature insulator. It rides quiet, increases impact strength and eliminates condensation build-up inside the hull. All joiner work, paneling and beam caps are of teak. Cabinetry is teak.
The Saloon is very large with built-in U-shaped settee with updated fabric (2014) to port, that converts to a queen size bed. There is a hi-low built-in table that folds out to twice it's size. To starboard are two folding teak chairs and a folding teak table and foot stool all by Royal Teak. Double teak doors open onto a teak soled covered aft deck. There are large opening windows port and starboard for light and ventilation.
The galley is located on the port side, forward of the saloon. It is very large and has an exceptional amount of cupboard, drawer and locker storage. Major components include:
One of the outstanding features of the Krogen Manatee is the large master stateroom, located forward, with a queen size berth, large "walk-in" size hanging locker, bulit-in bookcase, mirrored vanity (new 12v light 2021) and generous drawer storage. There are 4 opening ports and a large opening hatch to allow for abundant ventilation when on the hook.
The head is located to starboard, opposite the galley. It includes a large separate stall shower, a large opening window and HeadHunter head. This head was replaced along with all associated plumbing. A new 110v light was installed in 2016.
The pilothouse on the Manatee is located on the boat deck, and offers 360-degree visibility. It is completely enclosed via windows forward and roll-up/removable curtains port, starboard and aft. There are side deck doors port and starboard. A cooling fan (2021) and solar vet (2021) provide additional cooling when needed.
Owner's personal effects, artwork and tools.
