1986 Chris-Craft 426 Catalina
Forward is the guest quarters featuring an island queen berth with large drawers below, windows port and starboard, mirror covered chain locker forward, overhead hatch, & three-quarter length height hanging locker to port with shelving to port and starboard. To starboard is an ensuite sink with volume storage below, a large mirror with volume storage behind, and overhead lighting. The ensuite head has a molded one-piece fiberglass shower, shelving and an electric flush head.
Aft and to starboard is the L-shaped galley with a full sized refrigerator/freezer, Galley Maid Empress three-burner electric stove with oven below, a large Bosch microwave oven, plenty of sliding door storage, in-counter trash access, drawer and cupboard storage below, double stainless steel sink, and loads of storage space.
To port opposite the galley is the C-shaped dinette/settee, large sliding door and drawer storage.
Moving up and aft three steps to the spacious salon is a large L-shaped leatherette couch, a large counter for TV or stereo equipment and a 32" flat screen color TV. To starboard are the 110/12v AC/DC electric panels.
Moving down three steps to starboard is the captain's quarters with an island queen berth surrounded by windows, built in make-up center with large sliding mirror and stool to port, large full- height hanging locker, ensuite separate electric head system with mirrors, and a molded tub/shower enclosure. All carpets, headliners and joinery are in serviceable condition.
Moving up and aft through the hinged door to the spacious aft deck covered with a hardtop, there is a convenient center transom exit to the swim platform and ladder.
Up four steps and forward to the bridge, there are separate captain and mates chairs, bench seating with storage, and a FRP hardtop with four-sided Eisenglass and screens. Electronics are listed in the body of this report.
There are wide walkarounds on both sides of the vessel. The foredeck is equipped with heavy duty fender mounts and foot controls for the Ideal automatic windlass.
With entry through the salon, we continue into the engine room. Reportedly repowered in 1997 with 454 block Indmar engines, the engine room has DC lighting and an Onan generator. The aft engine room bulkhead has a tank manifold for easy fuel management.
