Odyssey, a Freedom 39, is a fun boat to sail whether on the SF Bay or the high seas. Boasting
unique features both above and below decks, Odyssey is the ideal platform for almost any
adventure.
Her strong, carbon fiber masts don’t require stays, so her decks are wide-open and uncluttered,
making it possible to easily move around or stretch out during a relaxing sail. Her cat/ketch rig
(main mast set forward) doesn't require a head sail so tacking is as easy as turning the wheel.
On the more exciting excursions Odyssey’s roomy, sheltered cockpit protects you from the
chilly breezes of the Pacific waters.
Great sails make for great sailing, and Odyssey doesn’t disappoint with BRAND NEW Quantum
custom sails, and ALL NEW running rigging. Single-line reefing is rigged for both sails, with two
reef points each. She has traveled the California Coast multiple times and is a solid vessel for
any adventure.
This Freedom 39 is in great condition, and is currently in an income producing charter program in Richmond, CA. Keep this boat in the program and you can offset the expenses of this meticulously maintained vessel.

Below-decks, the golden glow of Odyssey’s varnished teak cabin, her comfortable seating, and
other upgraded amenities—including a refrigerator, microwave oven, and roomy head—offer a
luxurious setting for sharing laughs or sharing drinks. Or both!
Odyssey is from a time when boats were handcrafted and much stronger than newer designs.
She is safe, fun, and a fully updated classic. The design has sleeping accommodations for five people. It has a private, aft, double cabin, under the cockpit on the starboard side, two pilot berths in the main cabin and a double berth in the bow cabin with a settee. There are new cushions and pillows on the settees, two cushioned barrel chairs provide unique and comfortable seating. The upholstery is cream colored leather and there is a flat screen TV in the salon. The head is located on the starboard side and includes a separate shower compartment and electric flush head.
The galley is "U"-shaped and located on the port side, at the foot of the companionway steps and includes Seaward 3-burner propane cooktop w/ oven, Adler Barbour top loading refrigerator w/ freezer and a new refrigerator cooling system, hot & cold pressurized fresh water, microwave oven, double stainless steel sinks, 11 gallon hot water heater
