1984 Dickerson 37Welcome aboard VICTORIA, a Dickerson 37. She has served as a comfortable home on the water between the Chesapeake and Miami, Florida. Her owners take pride in her condition, ensuring she stays impeccably clean and well maintained. As an example, her Perkins engine was rebuilt in 2010. Maintenance records are available aboard as evidence of her great care.
VICTORIA is ideally suited for the Chesapeake, Florida and the Bahamas- with its 4'6" draft this fine yacht has access to many beautiful anchorages not available to deeper draft vessels. A skeg rudder provides stable tracking and easy steering. Sailing performance is exceptional, with a sail area/displacement ratio of 2.73.
The Dickerson 37 was built with the most up-to date technologies and materials of the time. She has an Airex cored hull and a balsa cored deck, which provides strength while at the same time saving weight. All thru hulls were drilled out and replaced with fiberglass before installing the bronze thru hull fittings and sea cocks.
VICTORIA is nimble and easily sailed. She balances nicely with an almost neutral helm in these conditions. When the wind gusts, there is no excessive heeling, only a push forward
If you are interested in a classic beauty such as this, she is certainly worthy of seeing in person. Be willing to be amazed! Call today to schedule your appointment in Oriental, NC to see VICTORIA!
