Bristol Channel Cutter
1982 Bristol Channel Cutter 28LOA for slip purposes is 37'8".
The Bristol Channel Cutter's design was inspired by the Bristol Pilot Cutter which was designed and built for sturdiness and speed, even in little wind. The Bristol Pilot Cutter was used to rush a Pilot experienced with the harsh conditions of the Bristol Channel to an incoming tall ship. The pilot would then pilot the boat through the dangerous waters.
Lyle Hess based the design of the Bristol Channel Cutter after the Bristol Pilot Cutters, resulting in a seaworthy and fast boat.
KOTURA underwent a major refit in the first half of 2021, and is ready to explore near and far with her next owners.
Lin and Larry Pardey cruised 200,000 miles with two circumnavigations and much of it was aboard their Bristol Channel Cutter. Search for their videos on YouTube and enjoy.
