Underwater hull stripped, full gelcoat repair, epoxied and copper coated in 2012. Coppercoat now a bit tired - material is available for another coat, but will be ok as is for now. Mud berth means we scrub before every race - no antifouling is effective - but copper coat is ineffective for longer! Electrics work OK but that would be the next upgrade.
We have owned 'Sophie' since 2010, and have absolutely no regrets for our choice. Selling only because of owner's increasing stiffness with age. A successful racer under local handicaps, but not done much cruising - Ipswich and Burnham. She is a very nice boat to sail, with a comfortable cockpit with high coamings, good visibility over the cabin top, wide side decks, and a very well balanced helm - our grandchildren can sail her easily. The wide main hatch is also very family friendly, good contact between cockpit and cabin. Headroom is about 5' 8" under the main hatch, less forward. A 2019 insurance survey is available.
