"Silvan", still as fair and sturdy as the day she left the shop, is a 30′ Double Ended cutter built in 1980. She has given much enjoyment to her previous owners as well as first place finishes when racing on the high seas.

Construction: hull is cold molded WEST System. The innermost layer is edge glued 1/2" thick cedar2” wide strips. Exterior to this are 3 layers of 1/8" cedar strips with crossed longitudinal axis; then covered with polypropylene fabric in epoxy. The hull is painted with Awl-Grip. The deck underlayment is a WEST System of crossed veneers topped by 5/16" teak boards in blackened epoxy simulating the appearance of a laid deck; same description for cockpit seating areas. The cabin top is WEST System veneers covered with Dynel and painted with Awl-Grip. The cabin sides and fore/aft faces are teak faced Okoume marine plywood finished bright. The cockpit coamings are teak faced Okoume plywood finished bright. The toe rails and rubbing strakes are solid teak finished bright
Silvan will sleep four in comfort. Two sleep on the convertible dinette that is located in forward salon aft of the bow sail and storage locker. There is removable table with dedicated storage in the bow for the dinette. Storage lockers outboard of the dinette on each side will hold most overnight items that you may need. Galley is located to port and features: CNG two burner gimballed stove with cutting board top, SS sink with foot pump, extra flip down" galley counter top space, two "pack at home" coolers provide ice box space. There are two quarter berths to sleep 1 each. The head is to starboard opposite the galley and had Stainless Steel fold up wash basin and Groco Toilet connected to Mansfield TDX macerator with small holding tank and then on to a 20 gal. holding tank with pump out fitting on deck.

Universal 2-cylinder 11HP. diesel, raw water cooled, stuffing box. Gear shift and throttle on steering pedestal. Engine access from cockpit floor hatch and hatch aft of companionway stairs. Fuel tank metal 10 gallons, filled in floor of cockpit. Martec folding 2 bladed prop, newly reconditioned. Two group 24 batteries with charge/discharge isolater, shore power connection in cockpit and outlet in cabin. 50 ft. cord.. All thru hulls are bronze, cockpit has 4 floor drains to thru hulls
Edson pedestal with binnacle, wire rope to quadrant Custom wooden wheel
Autohelm tiller pilot type 4000 attaches to cock pit seat and emergency tiller, when rigged. Emergency tiller slips onto rudder stock via screw plate on seat at back of cockpit.
Instruments: Wet compasses in binnacle and recessed into deck at level of helmsman.
S R Mariner speed 1-12 & 1-6 mph with log, wind speed, wind direction, depth. Standard VHF radio. Area on right at head of quarter berth has fold down navigation table.
