1980 Dufour 35 Sloop35ft

This Dufour 35 has been well-maintained and well-upgraded throughout its life. The boat was originally owned by Robin MacNeil of the MacNeil/Lehrer Report on PBS. The boat has only had 2 owners with the current owners having the boat since 1989.

Mirage has spent the majority of her life on Lake Superior in Fresh Water!

Dufour 35’s are known as great Blue Water Sailing vessels and Mirage shows extremely well. The Dufour 35 has a great article in Cruising World 2012, shareable by request.

Mirage is powered by a well maintained and clean Volvo 25HP with 2484 hours. The vessel can sleep up to 8 people and is very comfortable on deck and down below.

The Cockpit is large and comfortable with Wheel Steering on a Binnacle and has Cockpit Cushions. The flush decks make for easy maneuvering fore and aft with lots to hold onto for safety like Stainless Steel Life Lines and Teak Hand Rails.

Going down below through the Companionway takes you into the Galley to port with lots of Storage, a 3-Burner Stove and Oven, a Refrigerator and Freezer, Double Stainless Sink with Manual Foot Pumps and Pressure Hot Water. The Navigation Station is to starboard as well as a Quarter Berth.

Going forward from the Galley area takes you into the Salon that hosts a large U-Shaped Dinette to starboard that drops to a Double Berth, all updated Upholstery. There is a Pilot Berth above the Dinette. To port is a Settee with a Pilot Berth above. The table can extend to reach the port side for easy dining. There is lots of Storage in and around the Settee’s.

Going forward from the Salon leads you to a full Head with a Marine Toilet, Shower (using the Sink Faucet Extension), and Sink, Mirror and Storage. There are two doors for the Head that can both be opened to create a large area that also allows for a Full Shower Area.

Forward of the Head is a Hanging Locker to starboard and a Pullman’s Berth to port that has updated Upholstery. There is also an overhead Hatch in the Forward Cabin for light and ventilation.

Mirage is in great condition with great knowledgeable owners who have kept the boat in sail ready condition. Mirage is ready to go sailing!
