1980 Contest 38 S37ft

REF1554: This Contest 38 S masthead Ketch, has been well maintained, based on her age and use. She has original good gel coat, epoxied keel, excellent fully articulated rigging, sails, storm sails, mizzen staysail, symmetrical spinnaker & alumimum heavy pole, Hydrovane, Andersen winches, Newport Dickinson diesel heater, two toilets, quality cooker. Teak rubbing needs minor work. Canvas cockpit hood over fixed windscreen, sailing “wall”, full cockpit enclosure. New inflatable tender and virtually new 2.5 HP Yamaha outboard. Inside quarters are in a generally very good condition. The condition of the engine, original Volvo MD21 65HP, could be described as reliable although outdated, that needs some paintwork. There is a 90Ah alternator and a smart charger. The sails are of 2012 by Westaway, all in good condition and superb quality.
