The Valiant 40 is a very popular cruising vessel. The Bob Perry design is a near perfect balance between comfort at sea and good sailing performance. The solid laid up hull construction makes her a sturdy craft at sea.
Black Douglas has been meticulously cared for and upgraded all her life. The hull was laid up in 1977 but most everything else on this vessel is recently refurbished or replaced. She was repowered in 2006 with a 50 HP Beta diesel that has less than 400 hours. Below are upgrades and additions in just the last two years.
