Description
This Sabre 28 is a fine example of the Sabre boats, well looked after and fitted with many upgrades she is ready for extended cruising on Penobscot Bay and the surrounding coast.
Silver Dollars is almost a new boat, she has had many upgrades over the last 10 years. Including: New fuel tank and lines, holding tank and hoses, the hull was stripped, faired and Awlgripped, new Harken furler, north main, 135 radial cut jib Bohndell, Harken winches, masthead tang, all deck teak removed, replaced and 12 coats of varnish, deck hardware stripped and refinished and re-bedded, inboard and outboard genoa tracks, new standing rigging, chain plates, life lines and stanchions, all port lights.
Electronics include: 50 W solar panel, Raymarine package of, Quantum Radar, ST2000 autohelm, eS78 plotter with touch screen, ST60 depth, ST 50 speed, Standard Horizon VHF
Engine has a new ignition system 2019, new exhaust elbow 2023 and new carb and thermostat 2024

Silver Dollars has the original Atomic Four gas engine which was recently factory rebuilt, it has very low hours, sips fuel and runs like new.

Accommodations
The Sabre has a simple yet comfortable layout below. Entering from the cockpit there is a small galley to Starb with a sink, stove and icebox, with storage above. A settee forward to port. On the Port side is a quarter birth which extends all the way to the forward end of the main cabin. There is a fold down table which opens to accommodate both settees for dining. Going forward there is a head to Port and sink to Starb, and a full sized V birth in the fore peak.
