Welcome aboard the Pearson Alberg 35 CHING PAI, a perfect example of a classic sea kindly ocean cruiser. She has been lovingly cared for by experienced sailors throughout her lifetime, and by the sellers for the past 25 years as evidenced by the continuous upgrades and regular maintenance.
As examples of regular maintenance, the standing rigging was replaced in March 2022 and a rigging inspection report is available on request. Also in March 2022, a new combination steaming light and deck light was installed, and a VHF antenna was added to the mizzen mast as a back up to the antenna on the main mast. In April 2021, the engine oil and filter and air filter were replaced. And in August 2021, the brightwork was cleaned and treated with Starbrite Tropical Teak Sealer (Natural Light). In October 2020, mainmast chainplate covers (6 total) were rebedded using adhesive silicon (3M) and both portside forward portlights were rebedded using adhesive silicon (3M). For those of you who read Practical Sailor, the compression beam under the main mast was strengthened in the 1990s by the previous owner.
