Riva Yachts is one of the world's most reputable shipyards of all time and still has roots from 1870.
They manufacture their boats in northern Italy and their model range ranges from approx. 27ft still up to 130ft. For most boating enthusiasts, it is a dream to ever be able to own a Riva; and Ariston are probably their most coveted models of all time.
Perhaps it is due to its arched hull form in exclusive mahogany, its original straight front, beautiful exterior chrome details and/or luxurious color scheme.
The layout of the Riva Ariston is as classic and stylish as it gets, with a tall, arched windshield in front of the two cockpits with sofas upholstered in Riva turquoise textiles. A sun bed can be placed over the stern and the front backrest can also be folded down to form a full cockpit bed.
This copy is from the year 1958 with no. 187 punched and is an extra rare version of the Ariston, which has a “flat nose”; i.e. a straighter front than its descendants, who thus became somewhat longer.
A complete renovation was done in 2014 by its current owner in terms of both hull and textiles and since then has been used very little, of which the condition is very good.
Among the equipment list are: sun bed to the stern, new harbor canopy, mahogany bathing ladder, chromed: (search lights, lanterns, details), original instrument panel: (speed, oil pressure, battery voltage), horn, Swedish flag, starter battery, bottom painting, electric bilge pump, etc.
The propulsion is provided by a shaft-driven inboard engine of approx. 330 horsepower, which gives a pleasant cruising speed of ~23 knots and a top speed of up to ~40 knots.
In summary, the Riva Ariston is the boat of boats; a floating piece of furniture for those who only settle for the best and want to be associated with a lifestyle icon!
