Refit ongoing June 2021.This wooden classic yacht, a marconi cutter, was one of the last boats penned by Artù Chiggiato, a Venetian engineer who was also one of the most highly respected Italian designers of the 20th century.
Yanmar engine replaced in 2007. Up-to-date navigation instruments including new chartplotter Simrad CP 32, GPS, log and depth sounder, new Simrad VHF and Simrad autopilot, 2x compass and windinstrument. Electric anchor-roller, Andersen Scandinavia winches and shrouds replaced in 2010. New half-batten mainsail and furling genoa from 2017, gennaker and gennaker sheets never used. Hull painted in 2018.
In the forepeak a nice spacious doubleberth cabin, in aft two open wide berths and salon transformable into two berths. Pantry with fridge and brand new 2-burner stove and oven. Electric head with shower and shower in the cockpit. Electric water boiler and autoclave. Bilge pumps; 2 electric and 1 manual. Stereo CD Sony with speakers in forepeak cabin, salon and cockpit.
Sometime after her launch at Venice from the shipyard Gino d'Este , Marina di Venezia ran aground on a rock at La Maddalena Island in Sardinia. She lay abandoned in a Sardinian yard and changed hands several times over the next few years. Marina di Venezia was also renovated on different occasions over this time. In 2003, her new owner of Rome had her meticulously refit by the highly skilled shipwright Giura brothers at Riva di Traiano. In 2013, Marina di Venezia returned to competition at the Argentario Sailing Week at Porto Santo Stefano in Tuscany.
The yacht is Italian owned and is located in the marina of Ostia near Rome. A view can easily be arranged with our local Danish yacht broker in Rome.
