Gully Girl is a single engine 28' Bunker and Ellis soft top cruiser built in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Estimated to have been built in 1954. Always maintained by her knowledgeable owner and most recently in 2016/2017, she had a major refit including a refastening of top sides with 1 3/4" bronze screws.
Hull planks are white cedar with oak frames. Hull was completely sanded down to bare wood, primed and painted with four coats of dark green. Hull seams were redone. Cabin sides are white with a white canvas top.
Gully Girl has a teak cockpit, teak stern deck, teak wash rails and foredeck. All are in turnkey condition. Recent work was complelted by Paul West, West Bay Boats, Steuben, Maine.
The single fresh water cooled 350 cubic inch V8 gas engine was recently upgraded with a new carburater, new starter, new batteries, recent risers, tune up including an oil change and filter. Reported to have low hours on the present engine.
On board is a very comfortable full width back seat with cushions. Sleeps two down below in a tidy cabin, enclosed head, hanging locker, small galley. Berths are covered with a dark blue sunbrella like material.
Gully Girl is a fine example, with her recently refinished dark green hull and over all sound condition. She is one of our special offerings at this time!

Sleeps two on port/starboard berths with blue sunbrella type fabric cushions. Galley to starboard, including an ice chest, stainless steel sink with cold pressure water. Storage locker underneath the galley. The enclosed wash room is opposite to port with a marine flush connected to a recently installed plastic holding tank. Pullman type stainless sink. There is an enclosed hanging locker.
Interior is painted a light gull gray with painted ceilings over the berths. Two cabin lights.
Cedar planks, oak frames, teak cockpit,teak stern deck, teak wash rails and foredeck. Dark green hull, red bottom, white cabin sides and windshield. Teak transom (reported to be replaced in 2009). Hull refastened in 2016/2017 bronze screws. Painted canvas trunk cabin top. Six bronze round opening ports with screens. Teak transom platform.
GM block V8, 350 cubic inch, fresh water cooled, recent risers, (2) new batteries in 2017, new starter in 2017, new carburetor in 2017, recent tune up with oil and filter drive saver, twin exhausts with mufflers. Estimated cruise speed 8 to 9 knots. (2) 35 gallon (estimated) fuel tanks that were recently replaced. Engine instrument panel with water temperature, oil pressure, tachometer, voltmeter. Battery on/off switch, electric bilge pump, electric wipers, electric horn. Four blade propeller, electrical panel with breakers.
Fire extinguishers, dingy davits, 35 lb. Danforth type anchor with chain and rode, various docklines and fenders. White canvas top with side curtains. Propeller cage.
